Nutrition according to OMS is food intake in
relation to the dietary needs of the organism. Good nutrition implies a
sufficient and balanced diet combined with regular exercise. however in the
society around us primarily in our country ECUADOR, the concept of a balanced
diet is to eat little, in other words a diet deficient in quality and quantity
The food pyramid can help you choose from a
variety of food and at the same time, to consume the necessary amount that our
bodies need to perform daily activities, which the main base is vital liquid
water, and at the height of the pyramid are to fats and sugars.
Eating junk food in our country and worldwide
has raised the percentage of obesity in both men and women, in addition to
causing affectation level cerebrovascular, heart and psychosocial. many people
do not know the amount of calories and unsaturated fats that have these foods
and a sedentary lifestyle together lead to very serious for our future health
problems.
In conclusion, in my country we have a phrase
that says “what does not kill fattening”, and one of the greatest pleasures of
humans is eating. the question is to maintain a balanced diet rich in quantity
and quality, knowing that we have a country that gives us variety of
vegetables, fruit and protein at a price
that will accommodate our pocket.
